About Nick
I graduated from Keele University in 2010 with a degree in Music and Music Technology and now work as a piano/keyboard teacher and freelance musician. Having started to learn the violin at the age of 7, I started singing with my local church choir soon after and eventually was encouraged to learn the piano, which I took a great affinity to. I have often been noted for my sight-reading ability, which has been useful in my work as an accompanist.
In 2012, I joined the band for Steve Steinman’s touring classic rock theatre show, Vampires Rock, playing venues all over the UK including the Liverpool Echo Arena, Manchester Opera House, Birmingham Alexandra and Endinburgh Playhouse. The show also performed in Denmark in 2012, including an appearance at the Ballerup Super Arena.
I spend the summer working as an accompanist and musical director for the theatre program at Camp Chateaugay Summer Camp in New York State, adding to my previous musical director experience for Startime Amateur Variety and a 10-show production of ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch’ at the Crescent Theatre, Birmingham in May 2011.
I have previously worked as a piano/keyboard/music theory teacher for Telford Music School, as an accompanist for Stourbridge Amateur Operatic Society, and have performed with Midlands-based bands, Sambuca Diaries Big Band and Soul Patrol.
