About Luke Tyler
Luke is a freelance guitarist, composer and producer based in the London and SE area, specialising in contemporary music, with particular dexterity and passion in rock.
Luke first picked up the guitar at the age of seven. Now with fourteen years' experience including formal lessons and self-teaching, Luke's musical ability and appreciation covers a wide scope of styles, having worked in originals projects, function bands and for sessions ranging from rock to R&B, funk to indie, pop to metal, classical to blues.
Luke achieved First Class in Professional Musicianship BMus(Hons) at The Academy of Contemporary Music, where he studied under tutors including Pete Roth (The London Gala Orchestra, Brian Dee), Jon Bishop (Shakin' Stevens, Westlife) and Giorgio Serci (Jools Holland, BBC Concert Orchestra). Luke previously studied music and music technology A Levels. He achieved distinction for eight grades with RGT under the London College of Music.
As well as constantly developing his playing and performing, Luke composes original music, both solo and in bands and is available for any composition/ songwriting projects.
Over the years Luke has developed a passion for music production and recording. He has years of experience using Logic Pro, Reason and Cubase. In addition, Luke has worked as live sound engineer for various professional functions.
Luke is a member of the Musicians' Union and carries a full UK driving license with his own transport.
