VOCALIST WANTED: new Manchester-based shoegaze/dreampop band (for fans of A Sunny Day in Glasgow, default genders, Cocteau Twins, Pure Bathing Culture, etc) looking for a female vocalist for lots of layered harmonies and light airy melodies. The aim is to be recording original new material and putting on live shows as soon as possible, so would need someone who can commit to practicing one night a week/fortnight. Happy to take on board singers who can play instruments too, but that’s not a requirement. Vocalist can have as much or as little creative input as they like with any aspect of the music or lyrics – as long as we’re making good and interesting stuff then that’s the goal!
The band is provisionally called “Moomer” (though that’s not set in stone, up for discussion) and two demo tracks are available at:
